CHANGE MANAGEMENT TRAINING

It is said that the only constant in life is change. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the workplace, where change is often mandated and staff is called upon to implement changes that originate elsewhere. Change impacts the quality of our work and the cohesiveness of our team. We can't help being affected by change, but we can learn to identify, practice and apply strategies for controlling our response to change.

Change is important to the survival and success of any organization. Change is often necessary but seldom comfortable. Although we cannot eliminate the stress and upheaval of organizational change, we can lessen its impact and take best advantage of the opportunities change offers. Handling change effectively can make our organization stronger and more resilient.

This interactive workshop will provide participants with practical tools for dealing effectively with the challenge of workplace change. It will prepare participants to manage and develop a hardy, healthy, multi-faceted response to change that will enable them to cope without sacrificing productivity, teamwork or quality service.

It will focus on the human side of change: helping staff cope with change, making the most of change, making change work, making it "stick." Participants will learn clear and practical guidelines for

  • dealing with change,
  • developing improved change strategies,
  • minimizing distress and disruptions caused by change, and
  • improved ability to influence the best work of the organisation.

This course outlines the challenges, opportunities and best practices of managing organizational change. Through individual and group exercises; and the creation and practice of effective coping strategies, participants will learn to handle the turmoil of change with composure, confidence, and humor.

Workshop Description: Through an exploration of our own attitudes and customary responses to change, and by identifying the phases and patterns of change, we will discover ways to increase our sense of control over both the predictable and unpredictable elements of unfolding transition. Using self-assessments, small- and large-group activities, action-oriented problem solving and solution-focused methodology, this course will help participants to plan, craft and immediately apply responsive, targeted strategies & foster a positive environment for change within their organizations. It will enable participants to weather transitions of any magnitude .Participants will also learn and practice skills for guiding others through the change process, identifying specific activities that will ensure successful change implementation.
